April is National Autism Month
April begins Autism Awareness Month, a time to promote inclusion, and acceptance of autism. According to research related to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the rate of diagnosis among children in the United State is 1 in 54. April is the month to celebrate the differences, increase awareness about autism signs, symptoms and opportunities through: information and referrals, events, printed and digital resources, and community partnerships with businesses and organizations dedicated to building inclusive experiences. Spread awareness, promote acceptance and ignite change!
