Meet our new Executive Director, Connie J. Cunningham

CunninghamKyle Schott, President, of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Association of County Developmental Disabilities Services (MACDDS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Connie J. Cunningham to be the Association’s next Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer. After an extensive executive search, the Board was pleased to offer Ms. Cunningham the position. Ms. Cunningham began her employment with MACDDS on June 24, 2019.
Ms. Cunningham comes to the ED/CEO position with an extensive background and experience in the human service arena. She is a graduate of Truman State University and has an MBA from William Woods University with an emphasis in health administration. She recently served as the executive director of the St. Louis County Children’s Services Fund, where she oversaw the administration of a $40 million annual allocation to 62 nonprofit agencies and 112 programs that provide behavioral health services to St. Louis County children from birth to age 19. Connie has spent her professional career working in the area of health and human services, previously as the executive director for the Missouri Family Council, legislative director/lobbyist for the Missouri Department of Social Services and Corrections; president/CEO for United Way of Central Missouri, manager of St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City, and statewide service coordinator for the Missouri Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Program. Ms. Cunningham presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Health Foundation and is Chairperson of its Strategic Planning Committee.
